After a club run, Moscow

Long Game is a running club for Moscow high school students who build apps, start small businesses and compete in olympiads.

Once a week we run together at a talking pace. Along the way people find co-founders, study partners and friends.

Club rules

  1. Conversational pace

Easy enough to talk the whole way.

  2. Nobody gets dropped

We regroup for the last runner.

  3. Consistency beats intensity

Showing up beats one fast run.

  4. Ambition without burnout

We run to unwind, not to race.

Founder & Run Leader

I started Long Game in 10th grade with a few school friends. Today the club has more than 50 active members, and I still plan the routes and lead every run.

Everyone is welcome, whatever your pace. I can’t wait to see you at our next run! Message me on Telegram or by email.

More than a run

Once a month the run turns into an event. Members plan it, the club pays, and everyone gets in free.

Guest runs

We run with people worth learning from, and keep the questions coming all the way to the finish.

  • Alexander ChelekhovskyFaculty of Economic Sciences, HSE University
  • Alexander AksakovDirector, DOM.RF Bank

Charity theme runs

We run for a local cause, then hang out after.

Run + speaking club

Practice English on the run and over coffee after.

Run + brainstorm

After the cooldown, one member pitches a project and the group pokes holes in it.

In their words

I met my co-founder on a Sunday 8K. We were arguing about pricing for her app idea by kilometer three. Two months later we pitched it at a school accelerator.

Max is the reason I started running. When I joined, I couldn't run 2 km without stopping. We met every week, always as a group, so I never wanted to skip. By the end of the summer I ran a full 10K with everyone, start to finish.

What surprised me was that Max runs at the back as often as the front. He makes sure nobody finishes alone.

Math olympiad prep was burning me out. The weekly run was where my head cleared, and I came back to the problems with fresh eyes.
